Every Grant. Every Deal. Every Opportunity.

Our Approach

A small charity that thinks like a big one

Investment income gives us a stable base — but our beneficiaries deserve more than stability. They deserve a Foundation that pursues every avenue of support on their behalf. That is exactly what our Board does.

Government & philanthropic grants

We monitor and apply for federal, state and local grant programs, as well as philanthropic and trust funding, wherever eligibility aligns with our purposes of advancing education and health for hearing-impaired children.

Corporate partnerships & deals

From in-kind support and discounted services to sponsorships and matched giving, we negotiate deals that stretch every dollar further for families and researchers.

Digital & technology grants

We actively apply for digital grants — nonprofit technology programs, advertising grants and platform credits — that build our capacity to reach supporters and families online.

Research funding collaborations

We look for co-funding opportunities that amplify the assistance we give to organisations preventing childhood hearing impairment — so good research goes further, faster.

Digital Growth Strategy

Building our official online presence

Awareness is opportunity. The more Australians who know about childhood hearing impairment — and about the Foundation — the more donations reach families, and the more support flows to research.

That is why we are actively applying for digital grants and deals that will help us:

  • Grow our social media presence Reaching families, educators and supporters where they already are, with trustworthy information and stories of impact.
  • Create informational videos Clear, professional videos that explain childhood hearing impairment, early signs, and the support available to families.
  • Produce infographics Shareable, evidence-based graphics that make hearing health easy to understand — for parents, schools and communities.
  • Establish our official online presence This website — hearingresearchsupport.org — is the first step: a trusted home for donations, awareness and opportunity.

Why It Matters

What a stronger digital presence delivers

More donations

A credible online home makes it easy for supporters to give — and every donation extends the help we can offer families and researchers.

Greater awareness

Videos, infographics and social media spread understanding of childhood hearing impairment — including the signs that lead to earlier detection.

More opportunity

Visibility attracts partners, grant-makers and collaborators — creating new opportunities for our beneficiaries and the research we help fund.

“Our beneficiaries deserve a Foundation that pursues every avenue of support on their behalf — every grant, every deal, every partnership, offline and online.”
— The Board, Hearing Research & Support Foundation Inc.
